The galleries show a selection of my current ‘sculptures’, chargers / dishes and drawings for sale, plus information about my creative work.

These ceramic sculptures have developed through my interest in working with colour, drawing and texture on clay surfaces and are largely 2D earthenware clay wall panels for interiors. The colours are produced directly by the kiln fired clays, oxides, ceramic colour and glaze used.

The sculptures are intended to be visually satisfying and are not intended to be otherwise practical objects! This work is suitable for and has previously been hung in various settings – domestic interiors- historic and modern in style, public buildings, reception areas, conservatories, stair wells, bathroom, washroom, and swimming pool walls, garden rooms etc.

Ceramic sculptural panels

The ceramic sculptural panels are usually created in groups and explore a number of different ideas, they are often figurative sculptures, but I have also gradually developed more abstract pieces involving landscape, crops, seasons, water etc.

I work loosely. As a result the pieces are unique, the surface markings having freedom and immediacy; they are not fixed ideas, their form and character grow and develop directly out of the making process itself.

I also create more practical tile panels to commission! See - www.handmade-tiles.co.uk

Pilgrimage route

This is a one off clay panel, or sculpture. It incorporates thoughts about the ancient pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostella through northern Spain, as well as its' landscape and buildings.
